About the Event
COMING UP, Friday 2nd October 08:00-09:00: IoT Autumn Breakfast, Physical & Livestream, E04 - Unlocking Industry 4.0 . Let's talk Industrial IoT, Industry 4.0 concepts and verticals, cyber-physical systems, AI, Big Data and off-course IoT. Normally, its time for the annual "Arvikamârten", a tradition dating back to 1907. This year it's cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation but we at SCAALER IoT Labs have other plans. We're broadcasting live from a smart-factory floor (location to be advised), somewhere in Arvika, Sweden (a part of the Greater Oslo Region) as well as from our studio at Aker Brygge, Oslo. This time, we will hybrid the event where you can choose between attending online or physical (limited seats at the physical event). We will be broadcasting to an international audience and hence the sessions will be entirely in English. Participants wanting to attend physically, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or register at https://www.scaaler.com/events-1 Most people working in the process industry have heard the term Industry 4.0. But what does it actually mean? Why should anyone be interested in it? Industry 4.0 has been claimed to be the fourth revolution of the manufacturing industry. The humankind has already seen three major revolutions in manufacturing industries: 1st was when mechanization and steam power changed the whole concept of manufacturing. 2nd revolution happened when mass-production assembly lines and electrical energy took place and enabled a giant step in production efficiency. 3rd revolution brought automation, computers, and robots to production. Can you imagine a factory where robots, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), sensors, controllers, raw materials, products, and databases communicate with one another? What if they could also be automatically orchestrated through a central intelligence which monitors and controls operations at all levels? This is the concept of cyber-physical systems for Industry 4.0, or CPS. Our guests wwill be a mix of entreprenurs, industrialiststs, thoughtleaders and industry experts. Check back for updates and agenda soon. The event is hosted by SCAALER IoT Labs with Robert Rhönnstad (SCAALER Consulting) & David Holm (Xplorico) as moderators. P.S THIS SESSION WILL BE IN ENGLISH!
In SCAALER IoT Labs #IoT Breakfast, we explore some of these topics with speakers from the IoT community. Followed by open forum discussions.
The event is free to attend. Pre-registration for the event is necessary. Seats are limited and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
